On this long over due edition of Five Minute With... BGSUFalcons.com catches up with one of the key players responsible for the Falcons' season turnaround while also turning his own season around in the process. Derek Spencer has belted multiple hits in six of his last seven games with a total of 13 RBI over that span. He has raised his batting average 110 points from March 23 and now stands above .300 for the first time all season.
An Oregon, Ohio native, the senior third baseman has only been held hitless twice since the beginning of the Falcons' turnaround beginning on April 11. Since then, Spencer and the Falcons have a 15-2 record and have an overall mark of 24-19-1 and a MAC East best 14-7 ledger.
