Heading into the final weekend of the softball season today, BGSU is one of five teams battling for the final two spots in the MAC Tournament. Bowling Green picked up a 5-3 win over Buffalo in today's opening game of a doubleheader and, combined with Akron's loss to Ball State, now sits a full game ahead of the field. Here are the latest updates as of 3:05 p.m. Two of these teams will get into the MAC Tournament:
BGSU 8-11 (Defeated Buffalo 5-3)
Akron 7-12 (Lost to Ball State 7-0)
Western Michigan 6-12 (Leads Eastern Michigan 4-2 in the top of the sixth)Eastern Michigan 6-12 (Trails Western Michigan 4-2 in the top of the sixth)
Buffalo 6-13 (Lost to BGSU 5-3)
A Bowling Green win in game two today would go a long way towards clinching one of those final two seeds. Check back regularly for the latest.
