Heading into the final weekend of the softball season today, BGSU is one of five teams battling for the final two spots in the MAC Tournament. Here's the latest as of 4:47 p.m. Akron has now been swept by Ball State, while Western Michigan beat Eastern Michigan in the first game.
BGSU 8-11 (Defeated Buffalo 5-3; Tied 2-2 in game 2)
Western Michigan 7-12 (Beat EMU 7-5; Trails 6-0 in game 2)
Akron 7-13 (Lost to Ball State 7-0 and 3-0)
Eastern Michigan 6-13 (Lost to WMU 7-5; Leads 6-0 in game 2)
Buffalo 6-13 (Lost to BGSU 5-3; Tied 2-2 in game 2)
The Falcons now lead Akron by 1 1/2 games for the final MAC Tournament spot.
