Only two of the five teams fighting for the final two playoff spots in the MAC Tournament played today as Bowling Green, Western Michigan, and Buffalo were all washed out. Eastern Michigan, on the other hand, kept its hopes alive for a playoff spot with a win over Northern Illinois, while Akron dropped to 1 1/2 games behind the Falcons with a loss at Miami. Heading into the final day of the regular season Sunday, here's how it all looks:
7 - Bowling Green 8-12, .400 (2 games at 16-4 Kent State)
8 - Western Michigan 7-12-1, .375 (2 games at 11-7 Central Michigan)
9 - Eastern Michigan 7-13-1, .357 (1 game vs. 10-9 Northern Illinois)
10 - Buffalo 7-13, .350 (2 games vs. 4-16 Toledo)
11 - Akron 7-14, .333 (1 game at 12-8 Miami)
